In the middle of the square in an old garden, “the Words” are embracing the space. “The Space” which is accessible to everyone, to pass through or pause for a moment; and experience being surrounded by “dancing words” and Persian Shekasteh-Nasta’liq calligraphy. You might find a familiar verse, which certainly adds to the experience, if not, “dance of words”, “Persian calligraphy”, “Rumi’s poems” and you will harvest the mirth Rumi’s poems dance around the center, just like the Sufis. And that’s all.
Young Iranian architects, Saeed Saraie and Mani Sadraei have won the third prize in the Monument to Shams-e Tabrizi Competition in September 2008.
“In order to create a space to commemorate the culmination of joy between two people in the 13th century, we could not find a better object than Rumi’s poems” the designing architects say.
